Classes are held weekly on the days and times specified below.

Classes begin the week of January 9th and end on May 18th.

Classes will run with a minimum of 5 participants with the exception of Mad Science which has a minimum of 10.

Mad Science® - Mondays 3:30-4:30 - Open to all (K-5)
Join Mad Science® for an after-school class where your child will participate in exciting hands-on activities, spectacular demonstrations, inquiry-based discussions, and make amazing take-homes, like model rockets, periscopes, and so much more! Fun with Arts with Morah Penny - Tuesdays 3:30-4:30 - Open to Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd Grades
Join Morah Penny for fun and exploration in a studio art class! Students will be exposed to and experiment with many different mediums. We will sculpt, draw, paint, create, and much more! This class is great for students to enjoy art and get a chance to explore their creative side! No class: 4/11.

Choir Chimes with Mr. Eric - Tuesdays 3:30-4:30 - Open to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th Grades
JAO is thrilled to continue its amazing ChoirChimes Ensemble! This after-school activity teaches instrumental music making using rectangular-shaped aluminum tubes that emit heavenly tones. Children will be making beautiful music from the first day. No instrument experience required! No class: 4/11

Coding With Mr. Hughes - Wednesdays 3:30-4:30 - Open to 3rd, 4th, & 5th Grades
Learn about web development. You will build your own web pages using HTML, CSS, & Javascript. We will also explore programing robotics and other languages.

Chorus with Mr. Eric - Wednesdays 3:30-4:30 - Open to Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd & 3rd Grades
Your child will learn how to sing their hearts out in a fun, relaxed environment as they join with their friends to create the Jewish Academy Chorus. There will also be community performance opportunities. No class: 4/5, 4/12

Kids Cooking Class with Ms. Cindy - Thursdays 3:30-4:30 - Open to Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th Grades
A fun cooking class geared to teach children how to make healthy snacks, yummy meals and scientific-edible experiments. Taught by Ms Cindy, each week we will make a new recipe and get to eat it. Each student will be supplied with their own Apron and Chef hat. At the end of the semester, each student will receive their very own recipe book including all of the yummy recipes we made. A fun way to introduce the love of cooking to young children and some science too. No class: 4/5, 4/12

iLab Explorations with Ms. Reisman - Thursdays 3:30-4:30 - Open to Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd Grades
Explore all that our iLab has to offer. Students will complete different STEM challenges and projects and gain experience with our robots like Kibo and Dot. No class: 3/9, 4/6, 4/13
