Admissions Process

Thank you for your interest in Jewish Academy of Orlando!

The Jewish Academy of Orlando (JAO) offers a Tuition Assistance program and will also aid families through State funded scholarship programs. It is our goal to help make tuition affordable for our families. Please read and carefully complete the steps outlined below to apply for admission.

STEP 1: Complete the Tuition Assistance Self Evaluation
Use this Self Evaluation Tool to quickly determine if you are eligible for JAO Tuition Assistance based on your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) and other assets. NOTE: If the results do not qualify you for immediate assistance please input your email address as you may qualify for other grants or scholarships we can assist you with.

If you choose not to go through the tuition assistance evaluation process, ONLY complete STEP 2.
STEP 2: Complete Enrollment Application

STEP 3: Complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment Application
(ONLY for Tuition Assistance Applicants)

The Jewish Academy of Orlando uses a third party company named FACTS to verify your financial information.  You must complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment application by the end of March, 2023. To apply for FACTS, please click the button and follow the instructions on their site.

STEP 4: Applying for JAO and Step-Up Scholarships
(ONLY for Tuition Assistance Applicants)

Please complete the Tuition Assistance tool by submitting your contact information. Regardless of your immediate eligibility for assistance, there may be more subsidies available to you.

To apply for Step Up, please click the button and apply for a Scholarship to a Private School, and follow the instructions on this site. If the site is not ready to accept applications for the 2024-25 school year, then a required sign up to be notified when you can apply will be necessary.

IMPORTANT: Parents enrolling students under the FES-UA scholarship:  Please note that our school accommodates students with disabilities in accordance with the requirements under federal and local law.  However, your child may not necessarily receive the types of accommodations or related services that your child may be entitled to receive at a public school as public schools have different obligations under the IDEA. The IDEA does not apply to private schools.  We are happy to have a conversation with you about the accommodations that your child may need and be entitled to at our school.

**Please complete your application(s) as soon as possible. JAO and Step Up have limited funds available, and will be based on financial need and then on a first come, first serve basis along with the receipt of all supporting documents required.

Please contact the JAO Admissions Office for any questions at 407.647.0713 or email [email protected]

Once your child’s application is complete, we will send you a teacher questionnaire form. After we receive the questionnaire, we will schedule a screening assessment for your child.  Following the screening, you will have the opportunity to meet with our staff to discuss the screening results.

A letter regarding your child’s acceptance will be mailed a short time after your meeting. Enrollment in Jewish Academy is complete when you return the signed enrollment contract.
